Abstract

The study examines abbreviated three-item versions of the Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) and the Harmony in Life Scale (HILS) for their psychometric properties and validity. Using three datasets, the study finds that the abbreviated scales maintain strong psychometric properties, including test-retest reliability and measurement invariance across gender and time, making them efficient tools for well-being assessment.
